NYE what to wear? what to wear?

I have to apologize for my absence. December has been a crazy month and I have been working my ass on my store.  I sold a lot of really fantastic designs so I'm happy I have sent some more beauty to the world. Anyway, tomorrow is New Year's Eve and like everyone I have started to plan my outfit. I usually like to go bold and daring for NYE but this year I'm going to a small, casual party with some friends at their terrace. So what to do? what to wear? Here are my [very different] options. 

Debo disculparme por mi ausencia. Diciembre ha sido un mes loco y he estado trabajando sin parar en mi tienda. He vendido muchos diseños fantásticos y me hace feliz saber que he enviado algo más de belleza al mundo. Mañana es Año Nuevo y, como todo el mundo, ya comencé a planear mi outfit. Usualmente me gusta usar algo más atrevido y vanguardista en Año Nuevo, pero este año tengo una reunión pequeña y casual en la terraza de mis amigos. Así que aún no me decido. Estas son mis dos opciones [muy diferentes].

Proud to wear PURPLE

Yesterday was a good day. Millions of people wore purple to take a stand against homophobic bullying. Purple represents SPIRIT in the LGBTQ flag and the 20th Oct was called Spirit Day. Brittany McMillan, an admirable young girl sent a call out from her tumblr account for people to wear purple in honor of the 7 gay boys who committed suicide in the recent months. The idea was to create awareness about this terrible problem. We need to stop the violence and the abuse. There shouldn't even be a search for tolerance, but for acceptance. We are all beautiful people, we all deserve love and respect. It is time we stop making differences because of sexuality, ethnicity, etc.
I felt very proud to carry this message by wearing purple on Spirit Day.


Ayer fue un buen día. Millones de personas se unieron y se vistieron de morado para declarar un posición en contra del abuso homofóbico. Brittany McMillan, una admirable chica, hizo una llamada pública a través de su cuenta de tumblr (que luego se extendió por redes sociales y medios de comunicación) para que las personas usaran morado en honor a los 7 jóvenes homosexuales que cometieron suicidio, debido a un constante abuso y persecución, en los últimos meses. La idea fue crear consciencia respecto a este terrible problema de abuso homofóbico. Necesitamos detener la violencia y el abuso. Ni siquiera se debería buscar tolerancia, como muchos han dicho, se busca aceptación. Todos somos personas bellas , todos merecemos amor y respeto. Ya es tiempo de dejar de hacer diferencias con respecto a sexualidad, raza, etc.
Me sentí muy orgullosa de llevar este mensaje, usando morado en Spirit Day.

After the launch of Boulevard Marsano

Yesterday I went to a lovely event launching the new hot and fashionable area in town. Designers, businessmen and the city of Miraflores are aiming to promote the old and beautiful Marsano Building as the new spot to be. Congratulations to Sergio Davila, Gonzalo Palma, SPICE restaurant and all the new businesses in the area for such a great idea. 


But I always forget to take pictures of my looks, so I asked my brother to snap some pics when I arrived home, after the event. Obviously, my make up and my hair weren't in place anymore. But, oh well, here they are.

Ayer fui a un lindo evento de lanzamiento de la nueva zona fashion de Lima. Diseñadores, empresarios y la municipalidad de Miraflores están promoviendo el antiguo y hermoso edificio Marsano como EL LUGAR para estar. Felicitaciones a Sergio Davila, Gonzalo Palma, el restaurante SPICE y todos los negocios de la zona por tan genial idea. 


Pero como siempre, me olvidé de tomar fotos de mi look, así que cuando llegué a mi casa luego del evento, le pedí a mi hermano que tome algunas fotitos. Obviamente el maquillaje, el pelo y yo en general ya no estaba en mi mejor estado, pero ni modo, aquí hay algunas fotos.

I just feel happy whenever I use this ring. It's colorful, it has a lot of different textures and it's oversized. I love it. I was wearing it today and I felt like taking pictures of it. It's Kenneth Cole and I bought it in SF.

Look Board 4 | Power sorbet

I played  a little bit with Polyvore tonight and put together  this outfit. I liked the idea of combining the strong lines pf a black power dress with sorbet turquoise and golden accessories. The accessories soften the look while making a statement. I love big bold accessories in soft colors.
